I have been trying for few hours, the app keeps asking me to enter a unique email address. Even though I was entering my company email address. I even created a new email account and tried again but it's still the same!!

Tried everything to sign-up but it gives a registration error. Sent an email to support to see if they will fix the issue.

So I use a smart scale which puts my body fat at around 17.5%. I’ve used several different scales and they are generally close to each other. This device however is showing me at about 25-33%; just looking at the photos of a male at 20% vs 30% online I can see that I’m no where near being 30% body fat.

If you already bought this device, then I’m sorry but you got screwed. I found my chisel device when doing some cleaning. Remembered I hated it with a burning passion. Thought I’d charge it and make sure it works so I could sell it. The company sent it to me for free after I blasted their AIM device all over the internet because it was junk too. This app crashes repeatedly before I can even pair the device to test it before selling. I smashed it in my bench vice. Most pleasure I’ve gotten out of this device EVER

As a personal trainer I would use this scanner more often if I could get it to just scan in a decent time frame. I’ll press and press and the green light will take up to 2 min maybe longer to get any sort of reading.

I've been using Skulpt for over a year. The app still looks plain and simple. The device itself sometimes takes minutes to capture a reading, measuring a bicep or quad for minutes within a small range without finalizing the measurement.

App doesn’t work, since like the developers have abandoned their customers

I was so excited to get this product in the mail, and the app refuses to work with my iPhone. It keeps saying it’s my internet connection is bad no matter what I do or where I go.

This means you can’t access features within the app because these same zones trigger OS features. The top right, top left, bottom right and bottom left corners of this app are filled with buttons like “stop” and “start.” Imagine that this entirely limits whatever functionality is intended. The tech itself is also very inconsistent and the results are just about random. The margin of variance is so wide there’s no way to tell what’s happening with your muscle fitness. Just a shame all around. Still no updates either. $99 for this.

It pairs with my phone then doesn’t move from that screen. Never fully pairs. Not worth anything.

Do not waste your money on this product. A smartphone app is required to use the Skulpt. Their app will not connect to their server so the product is useless. I have returned mine to Amazon.

Since I got the new IPhones I thought it was the phones but we tried on an old 6 my family member has and same message continues to come up about connection lost To the device while on the screen while it’s supposed to be scanning.

It’s a scam

Been using this for 3 months now. App isn’t optimized for newer iPhone screens so interface is buggy and buttons don’t display properly. Results are extremely inconsistent with muscle quality score and fat % varying greatly over the same spot, making you wonder the usefulness of the device. Your phone screen will go dark all the time because app doesn’t tell the phone to keep the screen up so you’ll have to keep tapping the screen when making measurements. Advices given are relatively useless as it only gives you lists of names of exercise but with no way to get details or description for each exercise. Tapping on an exercise doesn’t give any information about it. In the live measurement mode, instead of calculating an average for fat % or muscle score, it only records the very last measurement made by the device, so it’s pretty much pointless. I suspect this was a good idea that was cheaply and badly executed, so the device is just a waste of time and counter space. What a shame, $99 for this.

I purchased a Chisel. Once I received it I downloaded the app and attempted to create an account. After numerous attempts I continue to receive an error message indicating I need to enter a unique email address (I’ve tried 3 different email addresses from 2 different devices). I messaged Skulpt customer service and only received a form email back saying that it would take some time to get back to me due to the fact they are a growing company. Clearly I will be returning the Chisel.

Variability in the readings has really decreased and so repeatability has improved. Results are inline with how I look (9-10%). Quick and easy. Take a measurement whenever I want for no additional cost versus >$100+ for a decade scan.

The app is constantly freezing up. It doesn't work!

Aside from general inconsistencies which is always a problem, the app doesn't seem to recognize screen taps on the iPhone X. Specifically, the X or ✔️at the top left or right of the screen when doing measurements. I was trying to measure my quad this morning and the device wouldn't complete it. Because I couldn't cancel or approve the initial measurement it took 5 minutes just on that one body part. Very frustrating.

Device arrived today and as it has no creep it must pair through the app. Everytime I get to the ”paired scree” the device beeps green to confirm and the app crashes making the device a paper weight.

I have been a user of the skulpt since it’s Kickstarter days. I’ve even ordered a second skulpt from amazon since I accidentally knocked over the original one and broke it (after years of knocking it over I managed to break the otherwise sturdy casing) The latest update frustrates me greatly for the following reasons 1) Bluetooth fixes are causing multiple connectivity issues where none existed before. It took me over 45 minutes to do a single full body scan due to multiple connection losses, repeatedly force closing the app and restarting it to try again. And due to these interruptions I did not even get a summary so statistic in the end. 2) Careless design of the UI. The new update seeks to eliminate the auto termination of the continuous scan - a good thought in principle but implemented poorly. I for one preferred the auto termination as it meant I can go from region to region during a scan without constantly tapping my phone. But that is not the main issue at hand. The “ok” check mark is in the top left corner of the app’s interface which would be fine except for those of us on the iPhone X. The check mark is all the way near the top edge of the screen and I find myself blindly tapping around the check mark to get some tap to actually register and trigger an event. The iPhone X, while not widely adopted is not new either and one would think that the app’s engineers would aim for cross platform ease of use. Simply moving the check mark to a lower part of the screen could have preempted this issue. Similarly, the finish button is right on top of the OS’s buttonless home button so it can require a precise angle of tap which should not be bottleneck for a well designed app.

Skulpt recently updated their app and now works again. Previously the app would constantly freeze up when trying to use product but this no longer happens.

When working, the app is great. But connectivity issues are really bothering me now. I hardly understand why it’s doing this. The android app is not as glitchy.

I occasionally used Skulpt. I tried to use it today. The Chisel dropped connection suddenly and never connected back. I tried to reinstall the app, to recharge the chisel, to reconnect and it never worked. Don’t buy Skulpt. Save money for something else. I regret now.

Won’t pair with Bluetooth. Emailed the company, no response.

App freezes when pairing. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No luck.

This is a great product in concept, but there are glaring usability issues. One of which is the inability to scroll down to the bottom of the Analysis tab. You can’t see all that’s wrong with you. Also, they don’t prevent the screen from sleeping as you’re scanning. This becomes a huge hassle when doing “real time scanning,” since you have to keep tapping the screen (or I guess you can temporarily turn up your screen sleep time, but I shouldn’t have to do this) to keep it awake

So many bugs listed here, I need not rehash. Apparently they are not responsive. Pairing is frequently impossible and maddening, not sure if it is a software or a hardware problem. Either way, I feel it was a waste of my $100 on the Skulpt. This has potential if they would actually keep improving the products (since they have our $).

The app connects to the device but sticks on the “yes it turned green” button and doesn’t move from there. I’d love to be able to actually use this.

It looks like they never tested it on a X. You can’t cancel a scan, because it’s in the top left corner, unclickable. The screen turns off while you’re scanning. The start scanning button is too close to the bottom, cut off by the rounded edge of the phone. Everything, kinda works, but very poorly. You have to keep tapping the screen to keep it on. And, if a scan is messed up (happens frequently enough with this device), you have to swipe out of it, force quit the app, and start again. Please fix.

The app remains buggy. Often the full body scan will crash out mid scan - frustrating after getting the app/device to register 10 or so of 24 scanning points. Happened twice this am and caused me to give up in frustration. Also, the app doesn't inhibit screen shut off during scanning , so you're juggling the device, water spritzer, and reopening your phone screen for pretty much each scan.

Capable of so much more! Give us more insights. What happens to the food diet recommendations feature on the box! I don’t see it anywhere! I guess it use to be there. Ur got removed? Misleading feature set. The app is still plagued by the connection freeze bug. Seriously after all this time? Makes me feel the dev team is gone.

Half the time you can’t get the device to take a reading. Worked good until recent update.

The videos don’t load right now due to copyright issues that they’re working out which is annoying but not a huge problem, my biggest grievance is that it’s not working correctly the app keeps freezing when I go to the analysis tab and try to switch between the different sections under it. Like when trying to switch to the comprehensive training plan from viewing the imbalances or anything else.

Huge fan of the App showing imbalances in muscle quality and body fat, but that doesn't make up for the fact that even though it scans fine when connected to the chisel, any time I try to open up the analysis tab it freezes. For $99 dollars you should get a working App that can tell you more than any BMI analyzer you can get for $20 on amazon.

The app failed to connect to the Skulpt. Light turned blue on the Skulpt. The app searched for the device and found the device to pair. The light on the Skulpt turned green. The app asked of the light turned green and provided a yes or a no. When I selected "yes" the option greyed out and the app was perpetually in this state. The only way to get out of it is to then select no, which starts the process again. I'll be returning. Promising tech, poor execution.

The idea behind skulpt is great. The body scan and subsequent body analysis functions are simple and straightforward. Love the imbalances analysis. However using the app on an iphone does not work well. The app is obviously designed with a larger screen in mind. There are sophomoric graphical design flaws such as cut off results at the bottom of the screen, or the inability to scroll or click on the last item in a list to see the recommended exercises (duh). Would love to see the obvious display bug fixes and app lags removed, more in depth body composition examination and some nutritional analysis in the next version of the app.

Change goal options don't save so I cannot open the comprehensive plan. Every time I do it just says to set a goal.

The info received from the device is great. However, the analysis and training section freezes and I am unable to see recommended excercise and eating. Plus I have tried to get app support with no result

App freezes while trying to pair. I use an iPhone 6S. My trainer at the gym has seen the same issue, but only for clients with an iPhone 6S

The chisel device is pretty amazing and works really well! When getting a comprehensive workout, the app has problems with scrolling up or down. I would think that's a fundamental problem with the app. I would love it if the videos could be pre-loaded with WiFi data or something.

Can't even get to completed setup on iPhone. App just freezes.

Analysis doesn't work after scanning. Completely defeats the purpose of this gadget. What a waste of money.

App freezes and won't scroll like other reviews have mentioned. Annoying when you are working out and can't see what to do next

I just got this today and I've been trying for the last six hours to get it to sync to Bluetooth everything else I own syncs. I have erased everything deleted everything reset everything just as It said and still nothing, if I don't get it working by tomorrow I'll be sending it back.

App crashes during the pairing process. This was a complete waste of money and time. I'll be happy to revise this review if the developer manages to fix the app soon.

The app freezes every time I try to pair my device. I have not been able to use my Chisel once since purchasing it because I can't use this app. I will be returning the product.

I used the app one day and then when I use the app again it did not connect to the iPhone. I had to use another device to try to connect. What's going on? Is anybody else having this issue? It's not my phone it's not the skulpt device it's the app. It works on another device in this case android and not the Apple iPhone. Love your product but disappointed with the app. Is there going to be an update to correct this? Please advise.

app freezes and doesn't always analyze a muscle group. Can't scroll down on workout. After entering initial information you can't go in and update information for weight change. Says it's linked to Apple health but doesn't say how.
